Sri Lanka minister attacked
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (CNN) — An explosion on Tuesday hit the convoy of Sri Lanka’s Nation Building Minister, D.M. Dassanayake, wounding him on the road between the capital, Colombo, and the international airport.
He was hospitalized afterwards.
Seven others were wounded, the military said, according to The Associated Press.
Dassanayake had minor injuries, AP quoted military spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara as saying. E-mail to a friend
